What we offer
Specialized Services for Adults & Older Adults
We provide two core clinical services — each grounded in evidence-based practice and delivered with the care and thoroughness that patients deserve.
Lifespan neuropsychology
Neuropsychological Evaluation
A neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of brain-behavior relationships — examining memory, attention, language, executive function, processing speed, and emotional functioning. Our evaluations are designed to clarify diagnosis, guide treatment, and provide patients and families with a meaningful understanding of cognitive strengths and challenges.
Who benefits from an evaluation?
- Adults experiencing memory concerns or cognitive decline
- Individuals with a known or suspected dementia diagnosis
- Patients with Parkinson's disease, stroke, or other neurological conditions
- Older adults seeking a cognitive baseline
- Individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Adults with mood or anxiety disorders affecting cognition
What to expect
- 1
Intake & review
We begin with a thorough clinical interview and review of medical records, referral information, and relevant history.
- 2
Testing session
A comprehensive battery of standardized cognitive tests administered in a comfortable, unhurried setting — typically 3–5 hours.
- 3
Scoring & interpretation
Results are carefully scored and interpreted in the context of your individual history, background, and presenting concerns.
- 4
Feedback session
We meet with you and, when appropriate, your family to review findings, answer questions, and discuss recommendations.
- 5
Written report
A detailed, clinician-written report is provided to you and your referring provider, summarizing findings and guiding next steps.
Behavioral sleep medicine
Behavioral Sleep Medicine
Sleep is foundational to cognitive health, emotional wellbeing, and quality of life. Our behavioral sleep medicine services offer evidence-based, non-pharmacological treatment for insomnia and other sleep disorders — without the side effects of sleep medications.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
CBT-I is the gold-standard, first-line treatment for chronic insomnia, recommended by the American College of Physicians. It addresses the thoughts, behaviors, and habits that perpetuate poor sleep — producing lasting improvements that outlast medication-based approaches.
Who benefits from CBT-I?
- Adults with chronic insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep)
- Individuals who want to reduce or eliminate sleep medications
- Patients with insomnia related to anxiety, depression, or chronic pain
- Older adults experiencing age-related sleep changes
- Individuals with hyperarousal or racing thoughts at bedtime
What to expect
- 1
Sleep assessment
A thorough evaluation of your sleep history, patterns, and contributing factors using validated measures and clinical interview.
- 2
Sleep diary
You'll track your sleep for one to two weeks to establish a baseline and identify patterns that inform treatment.
- 3
CBT-I sessions
Typically 6–8 structured sessions covering sleep restriction, stimulus control, cognitive restructuring, and sleep hygiene.
- 4
Ongoing support
We monitor progress throughout treatment and adjust the plan as needed to ensure lasting improvement.
