Neuropsychological Assessment

We conduct highly specialized assessments that evaluate brain health and overall wellness. These evaluations are designed to provide in-depth insights into cognitive functioning and potential areas for improvement.
Dr. Pedigo provides psychological consultation, which consists of one or more clinical interviews with the patient and/or family members, a review of available medical and psychological records, and the completion of various psychological tests – all of which are designed to answer questions about the patient’s psychological well-being, assist in making decisions concerning the patient, and assist in the treatment of the patient. Dr. Pedigo can assist physicians with differential diagnosis and medication management of complex cases. These evaluations are often completed at a treating physician’s request.

A neuropsychology assessment provides invaluable insights into cognitive functioning, guiding effective interventions for optimal brain health.

Neuropsychological Evaluations

These are highly specialized forms of evaluation conducted to help answer questions about the health of a patient’s brain, especially how well the brain is able to perform the tasks it needs to perform. The evaluation includes a review of available medical and psychological records and, depending on the circumstances, the completion of various neuropsychological tests, including intellectual functioning, academic achievement (reading, writing, math), memory functions, language functions, visual/spatial functions, attention and concentration, and executive functions as well as sensorimotor functions.

We also may include personality, social/emotional development and behavioral assessment as part of the total evaluation. This type of evaluation would normally be based on concerns related to observed changes in the patient and/or the experience of an injury or neurological disorder.
